Wanted to reach out to say that your webinar today already has me thinking differently about how I approach learning and “being.”  I have so much gratitude for you sharing today (thank you so much for doing this).

I also wanted to share with you a conversation in the chat after you brought up the scenario about the husband/boyfriend being so kind to his girlfriend/wife.  You started by asking the women on the call who of us were married, and then jumped into the scenario of the husband doing these nice things.  One person mentioned in the chat that, “I am uncomfortable with the assumption in your question is that all the women on here are straight.”  and then another person in the group mentioned that, “It’s ok, as one of the women who is here who isn’t straight… I can imagine she’s  talking about my wife…though that’s just me… I’m sure not all queer woman feel the same as I do… but I’m used to people assuming my partner is a man.”

Someone then responded with, “I don’t think you should have to make that translation,” which I thought was a great point.  Anyway, I wanted to pass this along to you since I’m sure it was hard to keep an eye on the chat while speaking, too.

Very much looking forward to reading your blog, joining your future webinars, and encouraging my white friends (and myself) to extract ourselves from these all white book clubs!
